THE ORIGINAL DREAM GIRL STOPS BY THE VIEW AND STEVE HARVEY

The Original Dream Girl - Jennifer Holliday - has made a grand return to the music world with her first Pop CD in 23 years.

The set of sophisticated songs, "The Song is You" (Euphonic Records/Shanachie Entertainment), has debuted at #14 on Billboard Magazine's R&B chart.

The Tony and Grammy Award winning singer/actress is best known for originating the role of Effie in the original Broadway production of the musical, "Dream Girls." Holliday's last Pop CD was 1991's "I'm On Your Side." The dynamic artist has been working on this project with her musical director Daniel Moore over the last five years and the results are stunning recreations of classics such as "At Last" and "The Look of Love." There are also new classics such as "Are You Leaving Me?" and "The One You Used To Be."

The new project has earned applause in USA Today and other publications as Holliday has done the TV (Steve Harvey, The View) and syndicated radio circuit (NPR's "Tell Me More", Sirius Satellite Radio and Public Radio's "Here and Now").
